Over the holidays I worked on combining the knit and purl stitch to make an eye catching pattern. Mom and I found a dishcloth booklet that had many simple ideas and I felt comfortable spreading my wings with a small project.
Here is my first patterned dishcloth - it's a "barrel" pattern and I like how the pattern and the color in the yarn coincided so nicely. Almost like I planned it that way! Score!
Now, you see that green stripe in the middle? The one that looks a little wonky? This is the one I'm talking about:
Yes, that one. That is where I discovered that knitting and champagne are best left as separate hobbies. Not to be combined. Ever. Turns out that champagne can compromise the knitters ability to read a pattern. Just so you know.
Next week I will show off that scarf that I slaved joyfully put together over the holidays!

I don't see anything wrong with it (maybe reading blogs and champagne don't mix either ;))
but seriously. I really don't see the error, I love the pattern, love the colors and hope that you do a contest or something so I can have a chance to win a scarf you've made or something....
That is awesome! I was thinking, "Wow that was pretty hard if she was carrying all those different colors and that took thought to make each row different like that." Then you spoil it by saying it was the yarn...hehehehe! I love knitting dishcloths.
LOL.. it still looks good.
